Know Gyaananda

Gyaan: Knowledge with its infinite potentialities

Ananda: Bliss attained through knowledge

Gyaananda : Bliss attained through enlightenment

There is nothing in the world so purifying as wisdom; and he who is a perfect saint finds that at last in his own self.

This institution aims at creating a society rooted in the ageless values of Indian heritage committed to the acquisition and generation of knowledge- both local and global.

Attaining knowledge through direct and indirect sources and metamorphosing the concrete into abstract, and hence conceptual. The little step towards gaining knowledge eventually leads to the ultimate self- awareness and self-discovery. Knowledge alone is not powerful unless teamed with application. When that knowledge is applied practically, irrespective of resultant success or failure, it paves way for wisdom.

Gyaananda, premium schooling facility in Gurugram (Dwarka Express way), is a CBSE school with dynamic and progressive pedagogy aiming at creating a community of learners who embody the core of human values coupled with knowledge, skills and competencies fundamental for today.

Our emblem is a depiction of “SARASWAT” – Goddess of Knowledge, who is considered to be the epitome of education, knowledge and wisdom. The fluid nature of Saraswati runs through every student who is an eager beaver- curious and yearning for knowledge of the unknown, who is inquisitive and outlandish.

about Our

Vision & Mission

VISION

To create, not just an institution, but a living philosophy that gives a new level of hope in the world of education, inspiring greatness.

MISSION

Our aim is to create our living philosophy of Humanism- attaching prime importance to human kind. Building a more humane society through ethics based on human and other natural values in a spirit of reason and free enquiry through human capabilities.

We ought to have equal responsibility and respect towards the other being and this shall be achieved through the following 4 philosophical schools thought as its central tenet:

  • Idealism: The aim of education is to discover revamp; develop each individual’s abilities and full moral excellence to better serve society. Teaching methods focus on dialogues, lectures, discussions, questions, etc. to discover and clarify the unknown. Character development is supplemented through imitating examples and heroes.
  • Realism: Teaching methods focus on mastery of facts and basic skills through demonstration and recitations. Curriculum is scientifically approached, standardised and distinct.
  • Pragmatism: Learners are taught to adapt to each other and to their environment. Schools emphasise on the subject matter of social experience. Character development is based on making group decisions in light of hands-on problem solving, experimenting and group projects.
  • Existentialism: Examining life through authentic thinking involves students in genuine learning experiences. The school wants the educational experience to focus on creating opportunities for self direction and self actualisation. The focus is on student- ‘one child at a time’ rather than on curriculum; involving students in genuine learning experiences.

Chief Mentor’s Desk

We do believe that every child is talented. The intensity of talent may vary from individual to individual. We surmise that every child has hidden potential. For us, every child is important and unique.

It must be the commitment of the school to look into the attitude (i.e. interest) and aptitude (i.e. intellect) of each child and then assist and guide them to reach his/her altitude.

ASHOK_GANGULY

We are living in a different century. Today’s students live in a world that is far different from the one which we all grew up in. Today’s generation is gen Z and they are sandwiched between endless opportunities and unpredictable uncertainties. In order to grapple these opportunities, we need both hard skills and soft skills. It is the responsibility of the school that besides hard skills which come from academics, they need to provide time and space for soft skills which are also called 21st-century skills.

Today’s students are living in new world order. There are three basic characteristics of the present world – change, speed, and uncertainty. Extraordinary change processes are happening at great speed and globalization has ushered tremendous opportunities for the young generation. It is the allegiance of the school to train and tune the younger generations appropriately and adequately so that they can clasp these opportunities. Students must be motivated to dream as high as possible and they need to be motivated to take one step daily towards their goal.

I am sure Gyaananda School will impel their dreams to come true!!

Headmistress's Desk

Wish you a warm welcome from the entire Gyaananda family and may all your dreams and hopes to see your child emerging as an achiever in the field of academics and other important skills get fulfilled.

Education is the most powerful instrument of change. It has to be meaningful for meeting the challenges of the present and the future. In a globalized world, in addition to knowledge, attitude and skills play an equally important role to determine success.

Dr. Deepika Rathi

We believe that young people grow and learn through experiences. It is these experiences which lay the foundation of our behavior and guide us to “Values”. As values are seen growing from students’ experience we would expect that these could be altered as experiences accumulate and change.

Hence, processes are as important as the product. We therefore encourage children to make informed choices and to make them thinkers. Help children discover alternatives when faced with choices, weigh alternatives thoughtfully reflecting on the consequences of each alternative. Encourage children to consider what it is that they prize and cherish, give them opportunities to affirm their choices, encourage them to act, behave and live in accordance with their choices.

Gyaananda school aims to attain the objective of creating individuals who are responsible, disciplined and independent to make the right choice.

Parents, students and their teachers are a team and complement each other’s efforts. Discipline is an integral aspect of growth as it helps to develop self-control. Freedom can only be effectively exercised if it is guided by discipline. Teamwork is an essential aspect of growth and self-discipline helps us to learn to sacrifice individual interest for the greater common good.

So, you all and we at school must aim to build bridges of friendship and trust, bridges of honesty and respect, so that together we can build a future for our children. A future in which they feel secure, a future from which they gain strength, a future in which they can endure. So, let us take a pledge to build bridges of hope. Bridges that are spanned by rainbows of a bright tomorrow.

I thank you for bestowing your faith and confidence in us in guiding your child towards the bright future.

Warm Regards,

Dr. Deepika Rathi (Headmistress)

Supervisor’s Desk

How many of us start a day singing joyous songs, skipping and leaping to jingles and rhymes heedless of age and confidence in dancing?

How many of us get warm cuddles and gentle pecks before even setting the second foot into our workstations?

We at, ‘early learning’ years, have a ball every morning.

Supervisor’s Desk

There is an abundance of new things to explore, experience and learn at the Pre Primary level for children. We try to make them independent thinkers and doers by giving them appropriate handholding and exposure at an appropriate age and time. We encourage the children to be active, imitative, imaginative and creative in the elementary years with us.

I am an ardent believer of Aristotle who says, “The art of teaching is in the heart of teaching”. With an age group of 18 months and above, everything is ruled by love: interactions, singing songs, telling stories, language building, etc- we can only build literacy through love.  Early education and care need a tender heart with an experienced hand and strong will. And I promise that to the parents of toddlers who are looking at pre schooling program prepping up children for our formal wing- making them self confident and motivated learners.

After all:

“It is the heart for us to reach and not the facts of life to teach.”

Our Junior Year programs are marked with immense focus on language development, creative and lateral thinking and concept building through striking and distinctive activities. The matchless quality and productivity of our hand created resources, personally trained staff and intelligent planning of learning programs can only be understood by our current patrons. I invite the prospective parents to walk into our “vikas udyaan” to feel the warmth.

about

Classroom Mentors

“Teaching is one profession that creates all other professions.”

This profession comes with great responsibility and expectations. The faculty at Gyaananda is well qualified and well equipped to accomplish the vision and mission of the institution. At Gyaananda, we give primary consideration to the educational qualifications, effectiveness, related work experiences, and professional degrees and certifications. Weightage also be given to other demonstrated competencies and achievements that contribute to effective teaching and student learning outcomes.

Classroom Mentors

Faculty at our school is recruited after a rigorous and stringent selection process. This is followed by in-house training, orientation, designed to have the best talent. The school management has also planned to further encourage the faculty to upgrade their specialization and pursue any research work to develop their talents further.

The highly-qualified and trained staff not only implements the curriculum but also breeds enthusiasm for learning and questioning. Each teacher’s interaction with the students goes beyond the usual facilitator’s areas of pastoral and parental concern. Teachers should be totally involved with the children, in it all academic and co-curricular activities. Be it in the sports field or the sphere of publications or debates, teachers take an active interest and share a healthy rapport with the students. Bringing back joy into learning will be our teacher’s objective.
